Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

CELEBRATING MOM LOOKS A BIT DIFFERENT THIS YEAR

WHAT TO GET HER -  MP EDITION 032

Mother’s Day is just around the corner. While we should celebrate all mothers every day of the year, on May 10, we shower them with a little extra love. However, this year, celebrations will look a little different due to the pandemic and everyone practicing social distancing. Unless you’re quarantined with your mom, most Mother's Day celebrations will have to take place at a distance or virtually.

While you might not be able to give your mom a giant hug in person or go out for a meal with her, you can send her a little something to help her feel extra special that day.

We’ve rounded up 15 suggestions for Mother’s Day gifts that you can send to Mom below.

  • Jewelry
  • Shower mom with some special bling this Mother’s Day. Poppy Finch’s bespoke Mixed Chain Pearl Bracelet is inspired by feminine strength - perfect gift for the strongest woman in your life.

  • Flowers
  • Flowers are the quintessential Mother’s Day gift, and many flower shops are still delivering right now. You can give her a classic flower arrangement, a flower kit, or go non-traditional and send over a plant! Our Little Flower Company is a great Vancouver-based option.

  • Delivery from her favorite restaurant
  • While you might not be able to go out to her favorite restaurant to enjoy a meal with your mom, you can bring her favorite restaurant to her. Order takeout and have it sent over then jump on a Zoom call and eat with her virtually!

  • Chocolate
  • Chocolate is always a good idea and these from Beta5 are honestly works of art. A feast for her taste buds AND her eyes.

  • Ceramics
  • Ceramics are a wonderful gift idea and every time she sees a vase or uses a mug, she’ll be able to think of you. Choose one from G Ceramics & Co.

  • A tee
  • For the OG muff on the move. Give mom our new super soft, ultra comfy Muff tees, which look just as good while she’s lounging indoors as it does when she’s out on the go.

  • Smart photo frame
  • If your mom can’t see you in person, a smart photo frame is the next best thing. The Auro Smart Digital Frame is simple and minimalistic enough to pair nicely with any decor. It also pairs with an easy-to-use app, so you can remotely drop photos in there. Surprise her with a spur-of-the-moment selfie or send real-time photos so she doesn’t miss out on important moments.

  • Loungewear
  • Loungewear is the name of the game. We’re all practically living in sweat sets these days which will make it hard to go back to real clothes when we’re not self-quarantining anymore. Luckily, there are a lot of quality loungewear brands to choose from, and Bleusalt is definitely one of them. Help mom elevate her loungewear game with the Wrap, It’s made from the softest fibers on Earth. Plus, they’re also sustainable. And good news: Bleusalt is having a Mother’s Day sale with 30% off the whole site.

  • Gift box
  • Go with a good old fashioned gift box like the ones from Old Joy Boxes. They are thoughtfully curated boxes, featuring products from small Canadian businesses. From a wine and cheese box to a self-care box, choose from a wide variety of themes.
